Live Session 2 – Checking in
Wednesday 15 October
The second live session of the Entrepreneurship4All Autumn School focused on reflection, growth, and developing an entrepreneurial mindset. The session began with an overview of learner participation: the most popular learning paths were Entrepreneurship Innovator (26%), Women’s Entrepreneurship (17%), Financial (20%), Sustainability (19%), and Digital (18%). Participants were encouraged to explore all available resources on the E4All website and learning platform.
One of the course authors, Lisa McMullan from Enterprise Evolution, joined us to explain where the course started and why it is so valuable to reflect on our learning journey. Her presentation introduced the EntreComp Framework, developed by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. She explained its three key areas — Ideas and Opportunities, Resources, and Into Action — and 15 competences that underpin entrepreneurial success. These competences form the foundation of the E4All learning content, designed to support learners at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey.
The discussion emphasised reflection and self-assessment, inviting participants to identify their strengths, challenges, and development areas. Lisa also introduced Learning Pathway 4: Reflect and Grow, structured around five modules: You the Entrepreneur, Your Idea, Your Market, Your Resources and Activities, and Your Revenue and Costs. This pathway encourages self-awareness, reflection through the E4All Journal, and the application of entrepreneurial competences in real contexts.
Participants highlighted key soft skills such as communication, resilience, teamwork, multicultural sensitivity, and self-care as crucial to entrepreneurship. The session concluded by encouraging continued engagement with the E4All platform, using journals and curated courses to guide personal and professional growth. Overall, Session 2 reinforced the importance of continuous reflection, competence development, and community learning as central to entrepreneurial success.
