Session 1: Tuesday 19 November 2024, 12:00 – 13:00 CET
Introduction to networking and its benefits
The first live session of the SME Academy introduced participants to the value of networking as an essential entrepreneurial skill. Through practical guidance and interactive activities, participants explored what networking means in practice and how to build meaningful connections. We were also joined live from the SME Assembly in Budapest by colleagues, who shared their insights on navigating large-scale events and creating opportunities through collaboration.
Session 2: Wednesday 20 November 2024, 12:00 – 13:00 CET
How to network effectively for your business
The second session of the SME Academy focused on how entrepreneurs can build strong networks using online and digital tools. We were joined live from the SME Assembly in Budapest colleagues, who shared their experiences of using digital badges and online networking tools in large-scale events. The session explored a wide range of platforms and techniques for connecting, collaborating and building visibility online. Participants reflected on the advantages and challenges of digital networking and shared additional tools they find useful in their own work.
Session 3: Thursday 21 November 2024, 12:00 – 13:00 CET
Networking in action: Making connections through E4All
The final session of the SME Academy brought participants together to put their networking skills into practice. The session explored how entrepreneurs can connect with investors, partners and mentors by working through a practical scenario. Through group discussion, participants shared a wide range of approaches — from direct outreach to more reflective, relationship-building strategies. Colleagues joining live from the SME Assembly in Budapest contributed further insights on navigating real-world networking opportunities and making meaningful connections at large events. The session highlighted that while there is no single method that works for everyone, there are many creative ways to communicate and build strong professional relationships.
